Job summary

Bristol Zoological Society is recruiting a Head of Finance to lead the charity's day-to-day financial management, reporting to the Director of Finance and guiding treasury and planning. The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (or QBE) with charity or not-for-profit finance experience, excellent Excel skills, and proven financial modelling experience.

The role also involves partnering with stakeholders, budgeting, and driving change within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (or QBE) with charity or not-for-profit finance experience.
• Strong finance systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in financial modelling for planning and cash flow forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small finance team.
• Partner with stakeholders and budget holders.
• Lead financial modelling and scenario planning for medium/long-term plans.
• Review management accounts, budgets, forecasts and provide narrative.
• Oversee year-end audit process.
• Review weekly cash flow forecasts and treasury management.
• Drive innovation and change from a finance perspective.
