Job summary

Latch, a Leeds-based charity, is seeking a Finance Assistant on a 12‑month fixed term contract. The role supports daily financial operations, including bank postings, reconciliations, supplier invoices, and payroll-related journals, with hybrid working and in-office handover duties.

The ideal candidate will have AAT qualification or equivalent experience, strong Excel skills, and experience using QuickBooks Online.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance roles with robust accounting systems and processes.
• Strong IT skills including advanced Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of maintaining financial records and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Process daily bank transactions and postings in QuickBooks.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and prepare payment runs.
• Process supplier invoices and staff expense claims.
• Handle rent cards and Housing Benefit payments from Leeds City Council.
• Produce monthly management accounts packs and cost reports.
• Support year-end audit activities and ad hoc duties.
