Head Hunted Recruitment are extremely proud to have partnered with a UK based Charity, UK Cervical Cancer. We are seeking a part-time Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the charity. This is a paid position working on a 2 days per week basis, and eventually a full-time salaried role as the charity secures further funding.

UK Cervical Cancer is a small but dedicated charity focused on raising awareness of cervical cancer, supporting those affected by it, and advocating for prevention through education and screening. Driven by a passionate volunteer team, the charity is now preparing for its next phase of development.

As CEO you will be working with the Board of Trustees and volunteers, the CEO will continue work to shape and implement the strategic direction of the charity and lead it into its next phase of development and growth. The CEO will provide vision and leadership in the UK and internationally to ensure that the objectives of the charity are implemented.

CEO Role Overview

The CEO will provide strategic leadership and oversee the daily running of the charity. Working closely with the Chairman, trustees, and volunteers, you will drive fundraising, awareness campaigns, partnerships, and governance.

Leadership & Strategy
  • Provide strategic direction aligned with the charity’s mission and values.
  • Work with the Chair and trustees to deliver the organisation’s long-term vision.
Operations & Governance
  • Oversee daily operations supported by a dedicated volunteer team.
  • Ensure compliance with charity regulations and reporting standards.
Fundraising & Growth
  • Develop strategies to increase income through donations, grants, partnerships, and events.
  • Build strong relationships with donors and supporters.
Communications & Advocacy
  • Support trustees with public-facing activities, including events and media engagement.
  • Lead awareness campaigns to strengthen the charity’s impact.
Team Development
  • Support and inspire the charity’s volunteer team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative organisational culture.
Charity CEO Person Specification
Essential
  • Experience in leadership or management roles.
  • Strong organisational and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience in fundraising or partnership development.
  • Confident communicator with public speaking abilities.
  • Understanding of charity governance and compliance.
Desirable
  • Experience in healthcare, cancer support or the non-profit sector.
  • Prior involvement in charity, healthcare, or corporate networking.
  • Experience managing or working with volunteers.
  • A passion for supporting women’s health and cancer awareness.
Commitment
  • Part-time role, approximately 2 days per week.
  • Flexibility required for meetings, events, or campaign activities.
  • Potential to evolve into a full-time salaried CEO position as funding allows.
  • Willing to potentially take on the role as a full time CEO.

The CEO will bring strong interpersonal skills, strategic senior leadership experience. You’ll demonstrate independent judgement, a collaborative, supportive leadership style and the ability to think creatively.

This is a Part-Time paid position, all reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed and has the potential to become a full-time salaried post.
