Job description

London firm, well-regarded for its work in Charities law, is looking to recruit a Charities lawyer with 0 to 4 years’ PQE. The team provides broad legal assistance and expertise to the charity and not-for-profit sector, covering all areas affecting these institutions and those engaging with them.

The work includes charity structuring and restructuring, governance and constitutional matters, trading and relationships with non-charitable subsidiaries, charity tax, and fundraising regulation, as well as practice and business development.

The successful candidate will assist partners and other lawyers in the team on a full range of legal matters for charity and institutional clients. You should be confident and autonomous in managing your own caseload of smaller matters, with appropriate supervision depending on your PQE. You will also participate in business development initiatives, develop a profile within the sector, deliver presentations, and provide training to clients and contacts.

Qualifications and experience:

• If qualified, some experience in charity law, including charity structuring, governance, trading, charity tax, and fundraising regulation.
• If newly qualified, interest in charity law, willingness to learn, and the ability to demonstrate relevant experience or a keen interest, even if you haven't completed a charity law seat.
