Healthcare Litigation Solicitor/Barrister Role

This law firm, known for its extensive work with the NHS, is seeking a Healthcare Litigation Solicitor or Barrister with 0 to 4 years’ PQE/Call. The team advises NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, and medical defence organisations on a broad range of issues, supported by professionals with backgrounds as doctors, nurses, and clinicians, recognized for their expertise in healthcare law.

The successful candidate will handle various Healthcare Litigation tasks, including Clinical Negligence cases, for NHS and other healthcare providers, with potential opportunities for client secondments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting reports to clients
2. Preparing for and attending trials and mediations
3. Interviewing witnesses and drafting statements
4. Cost management
5. Managing multi-party litigation
6. Engaging in ADR, mediation, agency arbitration
7. Negotiating settlements
8. Providing client training through presentations, seminars, and webinars

Candidate Requirements

If qualified, experience in Clinical Negligence and Healthcare Litigation is essential. Newly-qualified candidates should have completed at least one seat in Clinical Negligence, whether defendant or claimant. Other Healthcare-related seats are of interest but not mandatory.
