Job summary

DAC Beachcroft LLP in Leeds (with Bristol, Manchester, and Newcastle options) seeks a Senior Associate/Legal Director to lead charity and not-for-profit matters, advising on governance, structures, and regulatory issues for healthcare, education, and other sectors.

You will manage your own caseload, support the lead partner on major projects, and mentor junior lawyers while contributing to business development and client relationships across the UK.

Qualifications

• Excellent client relationship and handling skills.
• Strong technical skills to understand complex charity law.
• Willing to mentor and supervise junior lawyers.
• Experience with business development activities.
• Confident communicator with client marketing ability.
• In-house charity experience can be considered.
• Flexible on location.

Responsibilities

• Handle own caseload and support the lead partner on larger projects, encompassing charity law and governance issues.
• Advise on charity governance, structures and compliance, including various charitable entities.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and tender preparation.
• Supervise junior team members and provide guidance.
• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, grant agreements and endowments.
