Job summary

DAC Beachcroft LLP is growing its charities and not-for-profit practice, with a focus on health care, education, and governance. The role supports senior leadership on complex charity law matters and governance, across multiple locations, including Newcastle.

You will handle your own caseload, contribute to business development, and supervise junior team members, advising on constitutional reviews, registrations, and strategic issues for charities.”

Qualifications

• Excellent relationship and client handling skills.
• Strong technical skills for complex charity law issues.
• Team-oriented with mentoring and supervision experience.
• Exposure to business development activities.
• Confident communicator with client networking ability.
• In-house charity experience can be considered.
• Flexible on location for role base.

Responsibilities

• Handle own caseload and support lead partner on larger projects across charity law and governance.
• Assist with business development initiatives and tender preparation.
• Advise charities on governance issues, constitutional reviews, and various structures.
• Advise on start-ups/registrations, fund-raising, endowments, and grant agreements.
• Support transactions including mergers and acquisitions between charities.
• Draft governance policies and respond to regulatory reporting requirements.
