University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Band 6 Junior Sister / Charge Nurse to join the vascular nursing team. This full-time position involves patient care coordination, mentoring junior staff, and collaboration with specialists in a highly experienced environment. We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Band 6 Junior Sister / Charge Nurse to join our team.
As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you should possess proficient clinical, communication, mentoring, and leadership skills, with a demonstrated interest in surgical nursing.
In return, you will be supported to develop your leadership and specialist clinical skills further.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to work as an integral member of the vascular nursing team. The position is full-time.
Level 8 Tower Ward is a 37-bedded surgical in-patient area, serving as the regional hub for complex vascular surgery. The nursing team is among the most experienced in wound care management and pain control. The post holder will collaborate with the vascular nurse specialist and be part of a large multidisciplinary team.
You will work alongside our new ward manager and matron during this exciting time of change.
This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) involves long days from 07:00 to 19:30, including night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
