Job Opportunity: Senior Nurse - Sexual Health

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior nurse to join our Sexual Health team at Homerton Healthcare Foundation Trust. This is a fixed-term contract for 9 months (with the potential for extension) to work with the Lead Nurse to strengthen and support the continuous development of the various teams within the service.

We are seeking a nurse with strong clinical knowledge, leadership, and management experience at Band 7 in Sexual Health. Due to the fixed-term nature, this can be offered as a secondment position.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver high-quality training, education, and clinical assessments.
2. Provide a highly visible and professional presence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients in the Sexual Health Service.
3. Manage the Nursing and Health Advising teams, including the young people service, offering clinical support and supervision.
4. Work clinically 1-2 days per week, depending on service requirements.
5. Strengthen relationships across professional and primary care boundaries, including local agencies, social services, and key stakeholders.
6. Disseminate specialist skills and knowledge, working in networks to meet local sexual health strategies and national health agendas.
