Job description

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Night Nurse Coordinator to work in an exceptional hospital within the Gainsborough, Lincolnshire area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.

This hospital is a low secure unit for men with mental illnesses and personality disorders. They provide a full treatment pathway for those requiring rehabilitation, focusing on patients learning new skills, embedding these in everyday life, and maintaining the skills necessary for community living.

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as an RMN or RNLD Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.

Key Responsibilities of the Night Nurse Coordinator
  1. Work as Senior Night Nurse in a ward or equivalent area, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families, and visitors.
  2. Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital governance framework and communicate these to the wider team.
  3. Ensure risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider environment, meeting statutory requirements.
  4. Respect and promote diversity and inclusion, role modelling these values across the team.
  5. Identify skill mix deficits and safe staffing levels, taking action to address these.
  6. Supervise a team, contribute to their CPD, mandatory training, and appraisals, and address any performance issues.
  7. Implement, monitor, and evaluate therapeutic interventions within an overall care program, supporting patients with mental health and learning disabilities to develop coping strategies.
  8. Support and contribute to effective multidisciplinary working.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • At least 18 months to 2 years post-registration experience.
  • Active registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council, meeting revalidation requirements.
  • Trained assessor/supervisor.
  • Clinical supervision experience (training desirable).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership development.
  • Good computer skills.
Benefits

The successful Night Nurse Coordinator will receive an excellent salary of GBP 41,467.44 per annum. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include:
