Nationwide is seeking a Change Manager to lead small to medium scale change initiatives within Payments Operations. You will scope, plan, manage and deliver improvements, ensuring benefits realisation and alignment with regulatory and scheme requirements.

The role sits in an Operational change team and supports hybrid working across the UK with at least two days in the Swindon office. This is a 12-month secondment opportunity aimed at delivering measurable performance gains.

Job description

This role sits within an Operational change team within Payments. This team is responsible for the delivery of all changes which impact Payment Operations. The purpose of the role is to scope, plan, manage and deliver, small to medium scale divisional projects or a portfolio of smaller change initiatives across Payment Operations, ensuring change is effectively delivered at the required pace, to the appropriate standards and delivers the required benefits. The member is at the Heart of everything we do, and we will always aim to improve the processes or service we give our members through the change we deliver.

Payments plays a critical part across the organisation in providing members with the best, seamless end to end experience through their interactions with Nationwide. Last financial year we processed c2.6 billion payments with volumes expected to increase year on year.

Within Payments Operations we focus on the delivery of processing requests, meeting service level agreements, customer satisfaction, cost parameters, risk appetite and industry and scheme regulations. As a Change Manager, you will lead within a team delivering business & regulatory compliance, improving departmental operational processes and performance. Implementing improved member and colleague experience, realising cost benefits through a structured methodology. Your role will be to continuously review and improve operational performance, effectively leading and implementing change readiness as we meet changing member behaviours/ demands and evolution of our technical infrastructure.
