Job summary

Seetec is seeking a compassionate Community Support Worker to support a caseload of participants in a community setting, starting from their initial assessment and continuing through their sentence. You will deliver one-to-one sessions and group interventions to empower participants and help them reintegrate into society.

This permanent role in Weston-super-Mare offers 37 hours per week with a salary range of £25,877 to £29,000 per annum plus benefits.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and sustain engagement of individuals.
  • Experience managing a caseload in a community or client-facing setting.
  • Experience in inputting and retrieving electronic data and maintaining computer-based information systems.

Responsibilities

Job Role

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated individual to join our team as a Community Support Worker. In this role, you'll support a caseload of participants in a community setting starting from their initial assessment and continuing throughout their sentence. You'll provide guidance, encouragement, and tailored support to help them overcome challenges, reintegrate into society, and successfully complete their journey. Support is delivered through one‑on‑one sessions and group interventions, all designed to empower participants and help them build brighter futures.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary: £25,877 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet individual performance targets and contribute towards meeting team performance targets in line with contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with volunteer peer mentors and/or mentors to manage caseload effectively and connect participants with resources for housing, substance use, physical and mental health, etc.
  • Contribute towards a learning environment where all colleagues develop their skills and share best practice.
  • Ensure effective case management and coordination of risk with a focus on safeguarding adults and children. This includes timely notification of concerns regarding changes in individual risk to the Probation Service and adherence to systems, policies and procedures to support risk management.
  • Ensure all contractual targets are met.
Skills and Experience
  • IAG Level 3 – desirable
  • Experience managing a caseload of participants – desirable
  • Knowledge of inputting and retrieving electronic data and maintaining computer‑based information systems accurately and timely; experience in a target‑driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal, non‑verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels and in a variety of settings.
  • Ability to motivate and sustain engagement of individuals.
