Job summary

PhysicsX Ltd. is seeking a CFD Engineer (Delivery) to design and deliver high-fidelity simulations across multiple industries. You will build multi-physics models, automate CAE workflows, and work closely with data scientists and customers, often on-site, to drive impactful engineering decisions.

You will lead the creation of robust CAD models and scalable pipelines, while mentoring junior colleagues and exploring opportunities for growth within the team. Travel up to 25% of the time is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industry experience in a commercial environment.
• Deep expertise in fluid mechanics, heat transfer and multiphase modelling.
• Experience with Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM or Fluent and scripting in Python/Java.
• Ability to work directly with customers on-site and translate engineering challenges into CAE/AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Independently build complex multi-physics models from geometry clean-up to post-processing, integrating experimental data for validation.
• Create robust parametric CAD models (NX or CATIA) and automate simulation pipelines for design optimization and DoE studies.
• Partner with customers to address their most complex engineering challenges through CAE & AI solutions; present results clearly and recommend actionable next steps.
• Generate high-quality simulation datasets for training Machine/Deep Learning models; apply data sampling to capture the design space efficiently.
• Accelerate high-fidelity modelling using Flux and on-prem HPC resources to achieve performance gains.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a culture of collaboration and growth.
• Travel globally (North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania) up to 2–3 weeks per quarter to work onsite with customers.
