American Family Care, Inc. in Chester is seeking a friendly, skilled Medical Assistant to support patients through every step of their urgent care visit.

The role blends hands-on clinical tasks with patient interaction in a fast-paced, team-driven setting. You will welcome patients, record histories and vitals, assist providers, perform basic lab tests, administer injections, and help maintain exam rooms and documentation.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical training.
• Experience in urgent care or fast-paced settings preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, room them, and gather accurate medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, testing and treatments.
• Perform CLIA‑waived lab tests, collect specimens, and maintain lab quality control.
• Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under provider supervision.
• Conduct EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other diagnostic support tasks.
• Draw blood for labs as ordered.
• Keep documentation complete, accurate, and timely.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care.
• Support smooth patient flow in a high‑volume environment.
