MUSC Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support outpatient clinics in Lancaster, SC. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, and document information in the medical record under physician supervision.

You’ll prepare treatment rooms and maintain basic computer skills for accurate charting. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and CMA/CCMA/NHA/AMT/NAHP certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• Certification through AMT, AAMA, NHA, MedCA CMA/CCMA or NAHP; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs.
• Records information in the medical record under physician supervision.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Maintains basic computer skills and input accuracy.
• Adheres to annual competencies and detailed instructions.
