Job summary

The Centre for Climate Finance and Investment (CCFI) at Imperial College London is seeking a highly organized Centre Operations Coordinator for a six-month maternity cover. Reporting to the Academic Director, you will manage research finances, coordinate meetings, support recruitment and contracts, and provide PA support to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

You will work with academics, researchers, professional staff and external partners, bringing strong Excel skills, meticulous planning

Qualifications

• Experience managing busy day-to-day operations and financial planning.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
• Excellent communication across levels and great attention to detail.
• Experience in university research environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Centre’s research finances, monitoring budgets and forecasts.
• Coordinate multi-partner awards and costing of new bids in Worktribe.
• Support recruitment and contracts for Centre staff; organise and minute meetings.
• Provide PA support to the Academic Director (diaries, travel, expenses, events).
• Manage the Centre’s shared mailbox and related admin duties.
