Job summary

Kellanova Co invites applications for a Centre of Excellence Technician on a 12-month fixed-term contract in our Haydock-based R&D team. You will support day-to-day CoE activities, aiding food and packaging designers, suppliers and internal projects across the business.

You’ll join a collaborative CoE community at our Dragon development hub and contribute to maintaining systems and processes that deliver innovative solutions for our brands.

Qualifications

• Team player with good communication skills and ability to work in a wider team.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene principles.
• Self-motivated, able to take initiative and manage tasks independently.
• Proficient with email and key software such as SAP, Excel, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• CoE Operations: maintain, support, and develop day-to-day CoE activities.
• Project Collaboration: work with designers, plants and partners to support delivery.
• Quality Management: manage and improve raw material and finished food controls.
• Systems Ownership: own key control and development systems (safety, training, hygiene, maintenance, 3D printing).
• Global Logistics: coordinate with courier partners for global shipping.
• Project Readiness: prepare ingredients and equipment for projects.
• Change Support: assist move to Haydock and suggest new ways of working.

Job description

We are looking for a Centre of Excellence Technician to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract to join our brilliant R &D team, reporting to the Centre of Excellence (CoE) Co‑ordinator. In this role, you will support the day‑to‑day activities within our Centre of Excellence, helping to deliver a high level of support to food and packaging designers and projects across the business.

We are currently based at our Dragon development hub located in Haydock where you will be based full time, giving you the opportunity to make a difference every day.

A Taste Of What You’ll Be Doing

• CoE Operations: Playing an active role in maintaining, supporting, and developing the day‑to‑day running of the CoE facility.
• Project Collaboration: Working closely with Food and Packaging Designers across the CoE, plants, and global partners to support successful project delivery.
• Quality Management: Managing and continuously improving raw material and finished food controls.
• Systems Ownership: Owning and developing key control and development systems, including safety, training, food hygiene, maintenance, and 3D printing.
• Global Logistics: Coordinating with courier partners to ensure global shipping meets expectations.
• Project Readiness: Preparing ingredients and equipment to support project activity.
• Change Support: Supporting the move to Haydock and contributing ideas on new ways of working.

We’re Looking for Someone With

• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.

• A basic understanding of food hygiene principles and material management.
• A self‑motivated approach, with the ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently.
