Legacy Leisure is seeking a Centre Manager to take overall responsibility for the management and operation of West Park Leisure Centre in Long Eaton, Derbyshire. You will drive sales, control costs, and ensure high standards of customer service and safe, enjoyable facility usage.

You will lead and develop staff, demonstrate excellent communication, and build strong relationships with industry bodies. A degree or NVQ5 in Leisure Management is preferred, and certain qualifications may be provided.

Salary up to £40,000 per annum

West Park Leisure Centres is part of the Erewash Contract, located in Long Eaton within the County of Derbyshire. The contract has over 700,000+ visitors per annum and the centres are very much a hub for the community.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Centre Manager to take overall responsibility for the effective management and operation of West Park Leisure Centres, ensuring that the business is driven forwards to maximise sales opportunities whilst reducing the net operating costs of the facilities. A specific focus of the roles will be to ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction are delivered whilst enhancing safe and enjoyable usage of the facilities

The Person

It is essential that you possess excellent communication, customer and client liaison skills. Ideally you will have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management or educated to degree level or NVQ 5. You can demonstrate knowledge of the leisure industry and have commercial and financial acumen.

Holding and National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and Pool Plant Operators Certificate would be beneficial, although training can be provided to attain these qualifications.

You will manage and develop your staff to meet customer and operational requirements creating a dynamic, responsive and customer focused team through your communication and management styles.

You will need to possess exceptional personable skills and form working relationships with Industry Organisations whilst adhering to our Philosophy of Driving Innovation, Nurturing People and Achieving Excellence. You will be highly organised, sales focused and results driven whilst also being an effective team leader and team player. You need to possess the ability to drive individuals to maximise their sales potential to ensure all financial goals and targets are met.
