Job summary

Parkgate is seeking a part-time Maintenance Person to carry out repairs and general maintenance across the Centre and car park as part of the PPM program. Core hours and 18 hours weekly are specified, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.

The role requires handling heavy equipment, maintaining safety standards (COSHH, PPE), and delivering reliable customer service while supporting the Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of handling heavy equipment and performing repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• Self-motivated with good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general maintenance tasks, repairs to fabric and finishes throughout the Centre.
• Painting and decorating inside the Centre and car park (internal and external).
• Jetwashing (low and high level) in Centre and car park.
• Report defects and carry out repairs or escalate to supervisors.
• Support PPM and other contractors on site; keep on-site workshop and tools in good order.
• Work weekends and Bank Holidays to provide maintenance cover.
• Flexibly perform other related tasks as directed by leadership.
