Job summary

South Thames Colleges Group is seeking a hard-working, collaborative Sessional Lecturer to join our Teacher Education team, delivering the Cambridge CELTA programme for trainee ESOL teachers.

You will hold a degree (or equivalent), a Cambridge CELTA and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent), plus substantial ESOL/EFL teaching experience. The role focuses on training, observation, assessment and developmental feedback.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant professional qualification.
• Cambridge CELTA qualification.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent).
• Substantial experience teaching ESOL/EFL learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Cambridge CELTA training sessions to trainee teachers.
• Observe teaching practice and provide constructive feedback.
• Assess written assignments and progress of trainees.
• Deliver engaging training and support the learning journey.
