Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Assistant to join the Cellular Pathology team at Poole Hospital. This fixed-term Band 2 post runs for 4 months, 15 hours per week (Mondays and Fridays, 8:30-16:30 with a 30-minute lunch break).

Prior laboratory experience is desirable, but full training will be provided. The role involves specimen labelling, data entry, assisting dissection and general laboratory duties within a high-quality service, with cross-site cover

Qualifications

• Good general education is required.
• Pathology support worker qualification or higher scientific qualification.
• Previous MLA experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities
