Job summary

TRIMTECH Therapeutics Limited, based at Babraham Research Campus in Cambridge, seeks a skilled scientist to develop and run cell-based and biochemical assays across drug discovery programmes. You will contribute to TRIM21-activation and other assays, with a strong focus on data analysis and assay optimization to accelerate programme progression.

Qualifications

• Degree or PhD in a relevant field with 3+ years of industrial experience.
• Cell culture expertise across a wide range of mammalian cell lines.
• Experience profiling activity using cell-based or biochemical assays (ELISA, HTRF, fluorescence, cell viability).
• Proven expertise in general molecular biology techniques (Western blotting, cloning) and cell biology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Generate high-quality assay data for one or more drug discovery projects.
• Perform day-to-day lab experiments including extraction and immunoblot analysis, cell culture maintenance, and cloning.
• Communicate plans and results clearly to project teams and R&D via protocols and reports.
• Keep accurate records of experiments and methods; support method development and risk assessments.
