Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting Class 1 Night Drivers in Barnsley for ongoing full-time work with stable start times (18:00/19:00). You will transport glass products, assist with manual unloading, and ensure loads are strapped securely while maintaining safety and compliance.

A valid CE licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, plus a minimum of 2 years Class 1 experience, are required. The role offers competitive hourly rates (£20.00–£22.41) with holiday pay options and overtime, and benefits

Class 1 Night Drivers

Location: Barnsley

Pay Rate:

• £20.00 per hour (Holiday pay accrued)
• £22.41 per hour (Holiday pay included / Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)

Holiday Pay: You can choose to have your holiday pay accrued and paid when you take annual leave, or receive it as rolled-up holiday pay within your regular wages. The rolled-up rate includes the applicable holiday pay uplift.

Times and Days of Work: Monday to Friday or 4 on 4 off

Position: Full Time (Temporary / Ongoing)

Start Time: 18:00/19:00

About the Role

You will be responsible for transporting glass products safely and efficiently across various locations. This role involves manual handling, including unloading and securing loads using straps, so applicants must be physically fit. Full assessment, induction and training will be provided.
