Job summary

Morson Edge are recruiting on behalf of a major Energy sector client for a Design Construction and Safety Assurance Lead in Bridgwater. The role supports the Client in health and safety assurance across the project, with emphasis on Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

The post requires NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, IOSH membership and extensive field experience in construction health and safety, to lead audits, inspections and assurance activities across on-site and off-site locations.

Qualifications

• Membership of IOSH at an appropriate level (Chartered status desirable).
• Strong working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
• Experience in audits, inspections and assurance in health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based Client assurance of Principal Designer and designer arrangements.
• Assure development and completion of the Health & Safety File through construction and handover.
• Provide CDM 2015 assurance of Client duties including information and duty-holder performance.
• Plan and undertake audits, reviews and inspections across site and off-site activities.
• Provide health and safety assurance across construction and infrastructure activities.
• Build relationships with Client, Principal Designer, Principal Contractor and partners; escalate issues as needed.
• Use findings to drive continuous improvement and align assurance activity with risk.
