Job summary

Amentum is hiring a CDM Advisor for the Hinkley Point C project in the UK. The role focuses on CDM compliance, PCI handling, and Health & Safety File management, coordinating with Designers and the Principal Contractor to ensure safe, compliant design execution.

Candidates will manage PCI updates, maintain risk registers and support the tender process, with emphasis on health, safety, and regulatory requirements across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Qualification and membership in construction-related organisations.
• CPD in Health & Safety (e.g. NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including CDM and Nuclear Site License requirements.
• Demonstrable, transferable CDM, safety and construction skills.
• Strong decision making and escalation ability.
• Good communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Knowledge of power station design (EPR or NPP) preferred.
• Strong influencer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, measure, analyse and review performance in implementing the Standard.
• Assemble information from Design Risk Registers into a Master Design Risk Register.
• Provide PCI information to relevant parties and ensure updates are issued.
• Prepare the PCI document for Tender and update during the project.
• Agree format/content of the Health and Safety File with the Programme Manager.
• Engage with Designers and the Principal Contractor on Health and Safety File expectations.
• Review Health and Safety File after tender and after design changes.
• Open Health and Safety File at start of each package and schedule delivery with Designers/Contractors.
• Update Health and Safety File as project progresses with information from Designers/Contractors.
• Assess Designers and confirm hazard elimination and risk reduction.
• Prepare a Design Risk Register for Tender inclusion.
• Ensure arrangements to monitor and close out design changes.
• Ensure regular design review and schedule with designers.
