Job summary

Barclays UK is seeking a Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Design SME to join the second line of defence. You will translate regulatory expectations into practical CDD control designs across end-to-end lifecycle, partnering with Compliance, business, technology, data and change teams.

Based in London or Glasgow, you will drive risk-based controls, shape target state designs, and support delivery of effective Financial Crime controls across global businesses.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in UK and international AML/Financial Crime regulatory requirements and guidance.
• Ability to translate regulatory expectations into practical CDD control designs.
• Shaping CDD design across complex programmes and control environments.
• Deep practical expertise across end-to-end CDD lifecycle such as CDD/KYC and EDD.
• Strong understanding of how CDD interacts with Screening, TM, Intelligence, and Exits.

Responsibilities

• Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements requiring change.
• Development of business requirements addressing problems and opportunities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet needs.
• Support creation of business cases and feasibility studies.
• Produce reports on project progress and ensure on-time delivery.
• Create operational and process design within the agreed scope.
• Support change management activities and traceability for embedding solutions.
