Job summary

Barclays in Glasgow is seeking a Client Due Diligence (CDD) Control Analyst to safeguard Wealth & Investments and Private Bank operations. You will develop deep expertise in CDD standards, review regulatory requirements, and support risk controls across business lines, ensuring compliance with internal and external policy frameworks.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and clear communication with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services.

  • Develop and implement Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain efficiency.

Job description

Purpose of the role

To support PBWM with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

Support with day-to-day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services. Support the management of the banks client relations to clearly identify their needs and provide a service that meets expectations. Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes. Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in Private Bank and Wealth Management processes. Development and implementation of Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency. Development of reports and presentations on Private Bank and Wealth Management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders. Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Private Bank and Wealth Management Services. Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Private Bank and Wealth Management efficiency and effectiveness.

As a Client Due Diligence (CDD) Control Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding our Wealth & Investments and Private Bank UK & International businesses. This is a technical, detail‑driven role where your expertise helps ensure our clients meet business standards, Global AML policy, and regulatory expectations.

Requirements
  • The ability to develop deep expertise in CDD standards, Global AML policy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Broad knowledge of financial crime regulations and policies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of operational risk requirements and standards relevant to CDD processes.
Additional Skills
  • Broad knowledge of financial services and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience within Wealth & Investments and/or Private Banking.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to make well‑reasoned decisions with clear rationale.
