Job summary

CDD Automation Solutions seeks an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead installation and commissioning on customer sites across the UK. The role blends hands-on electrical work with on-site supervision to deliver projects safely and to the highest quality standards.

You will supervise installation teams and subcontractors, coordinate daily site activities, monitor workmanship, and ensure compliance with standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Proven experience supervising electrical installation teams on site.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead electrical supervisor on customer sites during project delivery.
• Supervise electrical installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate daily site activities and ensure works are delivered in line with project schedules.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with electrical standards, specifications and company procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Liaise with customers, project managers, engineers and other contractors on site.
• Manage site documentation, permits, progress reporting and quality records.
• Ensure all works comply with current health, safety and environmental legislation.

Job description

CDD Automation Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead and oversee electrical installation and commissioning activities across customer sites throughout the UK. This role combines hands-on electrical work with on-site supervision responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.,

• Act as the lead electrical supervisor on customer sites during project delivery.
• Supervise electrical installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate daily site activities and ensure works are delivered in line with project schedules.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with electrical standards, specifications and company procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Liaise with customers, project managers, engineers and other contractors on site.
• Manage site documentation, permits, progress reporting and quality records.
• Ensure all works comply with current health, safety and environmental legislation.

Electrical Installation & Commissioning:

• Carry out electrical installation, modification and maintenance activities.
• Install and terminate power, control and instrumentation cabling.
• Assemble, wire and modify control panels and electrical systems.
• Support commissioning and fault-finding activities on industrial automation systems.
• Perform electrical testing, inspection and verification.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in industrial environments. Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent electrical qualification.
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
• Proven experience working in industrial electrical environments.
• Previous experience supervising electrical installation teams on site.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience with control panels, motor control centres, industrial power distribution and automation systems.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home for prolonged periods when projects require

Desirable:

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
• ECS/CSCS Card.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Experience working with PLC-controlled systems and industrial automation equipment.
• COMPEX qualification (where applicable)
