Job summary

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea seeks a CCTV Programme Manager to lead the transformation of the borough’s public safety CCTV network. The role is a two-year fixed-term contract, based in the Borough four days a week, with responsibility for strategic change, budgets and partnerships with the CCTV Control Room.

You will guide senior leaders, residents and police partners, ensuring safety priorities are delivered with integrity, care and transparency.

Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of CCTV management standards equivalent to BTEC Level 4.
• Extensive technical and operational experience with public space systems.
• Clear understanding of Data Protection Act, UK GDPR and RIPA; vision for leveraging emerging tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic transformation of the CCTV service; ensure modern, cost-effective infrastructure.
• Oversee network infrastructure, fibre systems and technology; align with future needs.
• Manage public realm budgets and monitor contract performance with service providers.
• Coordinate Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy investments and ensure standards are met.
• Chair resident-led advisory groups and provide expert guidance to senior leadership.
