Job summary

The NRL Group is seeking a skilled CCTV installation and maintenance technician to support CCTV systems, intruder alarms and access control across client sites in the East Midlands. The role involves installing, repairing and upgrading both fixed and mobile CCTV towers, with a focus on solar-powered systems and high-end security equipment.

You will liaise with site teams, perform fault finding and testing, and ensure compliance with current standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with security systems, CCTV and Access Control.
• Understanding of basic 12 VDC systems.
• Experience with batteries—changing/charging/inspecting.
• Ability to liaise with site teams.
• IP CCTV experience preferred.
• CSCS card holder (FESS CSCS or General CSCS).
• Understand solar technology basics.
• Knowledge of current industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and install CCTV and related security systems.
• Undertake refurbishment and upgrades on mobile CCTV towers, focusing on solar panel upgrades, fault finding, repairs and testing.
• Support approximately 90 units across the business.
• Collaborate with on-site teams and customers to ensure system reliability.

Job description

Purpose

Purpose of the role is to support the CCTV and security by installing maintaining temporary, rapid deployment, and fixed CCTV systems, intruder alarms, access control systems, door entry, and other high end security on client sites.

Accountabilities

Repair, maintain and install CCTV in accordance with the relevant standards and specific system specifications.

Undertake refurbishment, and upgrade works on a fleet of mobile CCTV tower units. The scope of works will primarily involve upgrades to solar panel systems, fault finding, repairs, testing and general refurbishment activities.

Approximately 90 units requiring attention at present across business.

Fire/Security/Electrical/Electronics

• Have experience with security systems, CCTV and Access Control
• Understanding of basic 12 vdc system
• Experience in batteries – changing/charging/Inspecting
• Ability to liaise with site teams
• Ideally IP CCTV experience
• FESS CSCS card holder or General CSCS card
• Understanding the basics of solar technology
• Good understanding of current standards

Employment details

• Monday-Friday 8-5pm
• PAYE or UMB
• Fit for role medical is required
• Be able to work in and around Derbyshire and surrounding areas (approx 200 miles)
• Power Network Sites
• Full UK driving license
