Job summary

Glanville Environmental in Cullompton is seeking a CCTV Assistant to join our drainage and civil engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will handle equipment setup, maintenance, and surveys alongside the field crew.

The role requires physical fitness, reliability, and the ability to work early, evening, and night shifts. A valid UK driving licence and CSCS card are essential, with opportunities for training and career progression.

• Physically fit for outdoor work in all weather; lifting/moving loads safely.
• Able to work early, evening and night shifts.
• Organisational skills and sound judgement with problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for setting up, maintaining, cleaning and storing drainage survey equipment and cameras.
• Support in manual handling activities to access drainage networks and move equipment to survey locations.
• Assist in setting out basic Signing, Lighting and Guarding.
• Operate as part of a confined space entry team in various roles of entry.
• Undertake weekly asset checks on all team allocated equipment.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and vehicle.
• Carry out detailed tool control to ensure equipment is not lost or left behind.
• Prepare and organise equipment for each task.
• Apply PUWER/LOLER weekly inspections.
• Use the work-based app for reporting hazards/observations and improvements.
• Ensure correct PPE and task-specific PPE is used.

CCTV Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in manual handling activities to access drainage networks and moving required equipment to locations for surveys
• Assist in setting out basic Signing, Lighting and Guarding
• Operate as part of a confined space entry team in various roles of entry
• Undertake weekly asset checks on all team allocated equipment
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and vehicle
• Carry out detailed tool control to ensure equipment is not lost or left behind
• Preparation and organisation of necessary equipment to undertake each task
• Apply PUWER/LOLER weekly inspections
• Utilising work-based App for reporting of Hazards/observations, positive safety interventions and improvement suggestions
• Ensure correct PPE and task specific PPE is correctly utilised
