Job Description:
Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Community Eating Disorder Service and be one of the practitioners delivering the new early intervention section of the eating disorder service: FREED (First Episode Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders) model in CWP Eating disorder services.

You will be involved in engaging, assessing and providing interventions for those eligible for FREED: early intervention and their families. The model delivers a rapid intervention for younger people who have more recently developed an eating disorder, preventing the illness from becoming entrenched and more difficult to treat. This significantly reduces the impact on the individual and the family.

You will be working with and supported by the other members of the Macclesfield Eating Disorder Service, but will also liaise with the FREED workers embedded in our Community Eating Disorder Services in Chester and Wirral as well as being supported by our FREED Champion.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of people who are eligible and would benefit from the Freed Early intervention pathway and the Eating Disorder Service. The FREED care package adapts existing evidence-based treatments to the specific developmental needs of young people presenting with a first episode of illness. This includes a greater emphasis on family involvement, attention to social media use as a potential illness maintaining factor, and attention to transitions (such as transitions out of child/adolescent services and those to university, employment and other adult roles).

Working for our organisation

**We offer a relocation package of up to £8,000**

The relocation package is for anyone who would need to relocate in order to take up employment with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership. Terms and conditions apply
