Job summary

Thales Group, based in Oxford, is looking for a Catia Design Engineer to develop mechanical and thermal solutions for space propulsion systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design and experience using CATIA V5. This role requires managing design activities from concept to delivery, ensuring all projects meet timelines and quality standards.

Applicants must be eligible for Security Clearance and will engage with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in mechanical design and engineering principles.
• Experience with Design for Manufacture and engineering change control.
• Solid understanding of drawing standards and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs for space systems using CATIA V5/V6.
• Manage product structures and configurations using PLM tools.
• Engage with suppliers and customers to support design activities.
