Job summary

MyNewTerm is seeking a Person in charge of Catholic life and mission (PICCL) to lead the school’s Catholic ethos and mission, ensuring alignment with diocesan directives and gospel values.

The postholder will work with the headteacher, governors, clergy, chaplains and parish partners to foster spiritual and moral development, coordinate liturgical life, and embed Catholic identity across the curriculum and pastoral provision.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and evidence-informed leadership for Catholic life and mission in the school.
• Lead staff formation and CPD so Catholic life and mission is understood and modelled by all.
• Ensure compliance with all diocesan directives and gospel-centred education.
• Coordinate retreats, liturgical events, chaplaincy, parish partnerships and youth outreach.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality and impact of Catholic life and mission across the school.
• Engage with the headteacher, governors, clergy and diocesan officers to align school life with diocesan vision.
