Job summary

Caterlink Ltd is hiring a Chef for The Ridgeway Primary School in Reading. The role is term-time only, Monday to Friday with no weekends, offering 27.5 hours per week at £13.50 per hour.

You will prepare and present meals to Caterlink and client standards, ensure Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures are followed, and complete required paperwork with integrity. You will also support budgeting, inventory management and action plans with your line manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Commitment to food safety and health and safety procedures.
• Ability to manage inventories and contribute to budget monitoring.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company's reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day-to-time running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans

We are hiring for a Chef at The Ridgeway Primary School, Reading who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility. The role:

• 13.50 per hour
• 27.5 hours per week working Monday - Friday
• Term-time only - working 38.6 weeks per year (3 cleaning days included)
