Job summary

Caterlink is recruiting a Chef for Outwood Academy Kirkby, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. This term-time, part-time position offers 27.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, at £13 per hour. You’ll prepare and present nutritionally balanced meals, adhere to safety standards and help manage daily site operations.

Role focuses on delivering high-quality school meals while supporting your line manager and working within a diverse, inclusive team. DBS check will be required.

• Follow Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures and complete paperwork accurately.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Chef at Outwood Academy Kirkbywho wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £13.00per hour
• 27.5hours per week working Monday - Friday
• Term-time only - working 38weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
