Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef at Yavneh College, Borehamwood to prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals for pupils and staff. This term-time role is 37.5 hours per week, with no weekend work, and pays £21.00 per hour.

You will ensure food safety and health and safety procedures are followed, manage inventories, monitor budgets, and support your line manager in daily operations at the college site.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional kitchen and school catering.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Chef at Yavneh College, Borehamwood who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £21.00 per hour
• 37.5hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 38weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
