Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef to work at Outwood Academy Kirkby. This term-time role runs Monday to Friday with no weekends, offering flexibility for students or caregivers.

The position is based at the academy and involves preparing meals to Caterlink and client standards. You will prepare, cook and present food, follow all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures, and complete required paperwork with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing and presenting food to standard
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
• Ability to work Monday to Friday during term-time

We are hiring for a Chef at Outwood Academy Kirkby who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £13.00 per hour
• 27.5 hours per week working Monday - Friday
• Term-time only - working 38 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company's reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
