Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef at Outwood Academy Kirkby to provide nutritionally balanced and tasty meals. This term-time only role is Monday–Friday, 27.5 hours per week and no weekends, offering flexibility for balance with personal commitments.

You will prepare and present meals to required standards, ensure food safety and health & safety compliance, and assist in managing inventories and budgets under supervision. DBS disclosure is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and presenting meals to high standards.
• Knowledge of food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to work with pupils and staff in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Follow Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures and complete paperwork accurately.
• Support the line manager with day-to-day running, inventories, budgets, and action plans.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Chef at Outwood Academy Kirkby who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• £13.00 per hour
• 27.5 hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 38 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
