Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef at Matthew Boulton, Birmingham. The role is term-time only with 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, across 40 weeks per year, offering up to £28,000 per annum.

You will prepare, cook and present meals to exacting standards and ensure Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures are followed, with accurate paperwork. You will also support daily operations including inventories and budgeting, under a DBS requirement.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering and food preparation to client standards.
• Ability to work term-time, 35 hours per week.
• Knowledge of Food Safety procedures and paper work compliance.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Chef at Matthew Boulton, Birminghamwho wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role:

• Up to £28,000per annum
• 35hours per week working Monday – Friday
• Term-time only – working 40weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure that all Food Safety and Health and Safety procedures are followed and all mandatory paperwork is completed accurately and with integrity
• To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
• To support your line manager with the day-to-day running of the location including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
