Job summary

TJ Morris Limited trading as Home Bargains is recruiting for Catering Team Members at the Amesbury Distribution Centre, offering 18 hours per week across three nights out of five, including weekends, with a night shift premium and weekly rotation.

The role focuses on delivering professional service, food preparation, cash handling and strict adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced catering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced catering or hospitality environments.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service focus.
• Minimum age 18 and relevant hygiene certifications.
• Knowledge of food production methods and kitchen safety.
• Ability to organise and prioritise daily workload.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional customer and staff relationships.
• Deliver professional service at all times; handle cash.
• Manage cash handling, stock control and stock taking.
• Ensure kitchen and customer areas are clean at all times.
• Prepare and present all food to required standards.
• Record food temperatures, delivery records, fridge/freezer temperatures.
• Follow Food Safety Diaries and allergen management including Natasha’s law.

Job Introduction

We are recruiting for a number of Catering Team Members to join our Catering Teamin our Amesbury Distribution Centre.

You will be responsible for the delivery of professional service at all times, as well as food preparation and presentation, cash handling and ensuring food safety compliance.

The ideal candidates will have experience within a fast paced catering or hospitality environment and feel passionate about providing customers with a great dining experience. You will be welcoming and approachable with excellent communication skills, acting as an ambassador for the function.

Job Overview

• Be responsible for the preparation and presentation of all food to the required standards
• Ensure compliance with all company administration and monitoring procedures:
  • Recording of food temperatures
  • Delivery records
  • Recording of fridge andfreezer temperatures
  • Food storage and labelling in accordance with guidelines
  • Daily administration of bookwork includingFood Safety Diaries and allergen management including Natasha’s law
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Minimum Level 2 Hygiene certificate and Level 2 Food Safety certificate
• Knowledge of food production methods
• Experience in a fast paced catering or hospitality environment
• Ability to organize andprioritise daily work load
• Ability to problem solve and remain calm within a fast paced environment
