Greensand Trust is seeking catering team assistants to join our busy café during weekends and peak holiday periods at Clophill Lakes Nature Reserve, offering take-away and in-house service with a focus on fresh, local options.

You will provide front-of-house service, assist in the kitchen, and help maintain a welcoming environment for visitors while adhering to health and safety standards.

• Some experience in catering is required.

Responsibilities

• The ideal person will have some experience in catering and be confident in a busy Catering Servery.
• You must also have the ability to adhere to day‑to‑day kitchen management and have excellent communication skills.
• You will be required to provide front of house service, as well as preparing food in our small kitchen.
• You must be prepared to work weekends, bank holidays, and peak holiday periods.

Position: Catering Team Assistants

Location: Clophill Lakes Nature Reserve

Status: Zero Hours staff

Term / Hours: Weekend and Peak holiday Cover - Various hours

Salary: National Minimum Wage (hourly rate)

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Greensand Trust is looking for catering team assistants to add to our growing catering team. Our ethos is fresh, quality and local and you will be working with the catering team to deliver a quality experience to visitors. Working at our café facility at Clophill Lakes Nature Reserve with magnificent views across the countryside and lakes, working in our Takeaway Outlet, you will have a unique opportunity to help develop our offer to visitors to match that of this superb location.

The ideal person will have to have some experience in catering and be confident in a busy Catering Servery providing food and drink options. You must also have the ability to adhere to day‑to‑day kitchen management and have excellent communication skills.

You will be required to provide front of house service, as well as preparing food in our small kitchen. You must be prepared to work supporting our catering team on weekends, bank holidays, and peak holiday periods.
