Job summary

Caron Group is seeking a Catering Support to join our family of care homes across mid and south Wales. You will support the Chef/Cook to ensure nutritious meals meet residents' dietary needs and assist with meal service and refreshments for residents and visitors.

Join a friendly, inclusive environment with training, development and opportunities to progress across clinical and non-clinical departments. This role is based on site within our care homes in Wales.

Qualifications

• Authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
• At least 1 year of Catering experience.
• At least 1 year of Kitchen Assistant experience.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food and Apetito.
• Completing cleaning schedules.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Monitor fridge/freezer temperatures.
• Assist Hospitality Coordinator with ordering and storage.
• Keep china, cutlery and beakers clean.
• Maintain balanced diets and residents with special diets.
• Monitor stock rotation.
• Report to Hospitality Coordinator for any concerns.

About the role

Role Overview

We are seeking a Catering Support to join our family of Care Homes. As a Catering Support, you will support the Chef/Cook in ensuring the nutritional content of the meals provided and cater for the dietary needs of all individuals. You will support with meal service and provide refreshments for the individuals and visitors such as crockery, cutlery, glassware and dry foods etc.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food or Apetito.
• Completing cleaning schedules.
• Maintaining very high standards of cleanliness.
• Monitor fridge / freezer temperatures.
• Report to Hospitality Coordinator for any concerns.
• Complete ongoing file for Health & Safety.
• Wash up dishes, pots and pans put through the steriliser.
• Keep china, cutlery and beakers in a very clean state.
• Monitor stock rotation.
• Maintain balanced diet for residents.
• Ensure knowledge of residents with special diet or allergies.
• Have awareness of the diabetics and their special diet.
• Assist Hospitality Coordinator in the ordering, storage and provision of food.
• Keep surfaces clean and sterilised.
• Keep appliances clean and safe.
