Edsential Community Interest Company is hiring a Catering Supervisor to oversee the kitchen operations at Lunt's Heath Primary School. The role is 27.5 hours per week during school term time (plus 2 cleaning days) with a salary paid over 12 months, based in Runcorn, Cheshire.

The successful candidate will lead kitchen staff, manage allergens, maintain safety records, and liaise with school staff to deliver high-quality food and service. DBS and training are provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience running a school kitchen advantageous.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working with IT systems; training provided on induction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present food to high hygiene and safety standards.
• Manage allergens and dietary requirements.
• Complete kitchen administration including health and safety checks.
• Maintain records; manage stock, orders and quality assurance.
• Build relationships with school staff such as teachers and senior leaders.
• Supervise kitchen staff; handle timesheets, absences and probation meetings.

If successful, you will be supporting the Catering operations in running the service at Lunt's Heath Primary School.

You’ll be representing both Edsential and our school to ensure that all pupils have the best quality food and customer experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising the Kitchen staff in the following duties:

• Preparing and presenting food to a high standard of hygiene and safe practice
• Allergen Management and dietrary
• Completion of all kitchen administration, i.e Health and Safety Checks, Allergen Management
• Work to maintain accurate records and ensure kitchen targets are met, i.e stock control, food orders, quality assurance
• Manage relationships with School Staff such as Teachers, Business Managers and Head Teachers
• Management of kitchen staff i.e processing timesheets, absence management and probation meetings
