Job summary

Taylor Shaw, part of Elior, serves fresh, nutritious meals in schools across the UK. At Mount Carmel Roman Catholic High School, we aim to create a welcoming dining experience for students and support the smooth day-to-day catering operation.

You’ll lead a small team, manage stock and deliveries, and ensure high standards of hygiene and safety while delivering great service in a term-time, Monday-to-Friday role with 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering or education catering environment.
• A natural ability to support and motivate others, with a team-first approach.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced catering operation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, safety practices and compliance standards.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to supporting daily operations.
• Genuine passion for delivering quality food and service.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, welcoming dining experience for our students to enjoy, fresh, nutritious meals
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the catering operation and service
• Guide, encourage and develop your team, helping to deliver a high quality and efficient operation
• Get hands-on with the food preparation, ensuring meals are consistently delivered to a great standard
• Help manage stock, deliveries, and kitchen organisation
• Ensure high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are maintained
