Job summary

Taylor Shaw at Rosehill Methodist Primary Academy in Ashton is seeking a part-time catering assistant to create a welcoming dining experience for students and to support daily operation during term time.

You will assist with meal preparation, stock management, and ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety, while guiding and supporting a small team. DBS check is required; 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering or education catering environment.
• Natural ability to support and motivate others, with a team-first approach.
• Strong organisational skills for a fast-paced operation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, safety practices and compliance.
• Proactive, hands-on support for daily operations.
• Genuine passion for delivering quality food and service.

• Create a positive, welcoming dining experience for our students to enjoy, fresh, nutritious meals.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the catering operation and service.
• Guide, encourage and develop your team, helping to deliver a high quality and efficient operation.
• Get hands-on with the food preparation, ensuring meals are consistently delivered to a great standard.
• Help manage stock, deliveries, and kitchen organisation.
• Ensure high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are maintained.
