Job summary

Northfold Community Primary School, Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire, is seeking a dedicated catering supervisor to lead the school kitchen under Lancashire County Council guidelines. You will manage menus, budget, stock, and hygiene while supervising a team of kitchen staff.

The role is part-time, term-time only, 25 hours per week (5 hours per day, Monday to Friday), with pro-rata salary and duties aligned to school needs.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Working hours / days
  • Working Monday to Friday
  • Term time only
  • 5 hours per day - 25 hours a week. Hours are variable depending on school meal uptake
  • 4 extra days cleaning

  • Recognised catering qualification
  • Knowledge of food costing and stock control
  • Knowledge of specialised diets
  • Knowledge of basic hygiene
  • Understanding of basic nutritional needs of clients
  • Understanding of correct use of kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Awareness of Health and Safety requirements
  • Knowledge of the cultures and religions of the local community and ability to work across cultures

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
