Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Band 2 Facilities Catering Operative for 30 hours per week on a 12-month fixed term contract at Birmingham Dental Hospital. You will support in delivering a professional catering service, assist with meal preparation, serving staff and visitors, and operate a cash register when required.

Typical duties include food preparation, stock control, and maintaining hygiene standards across Trust properties.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or good basic education required.
• NVQ Level 2 Customer Service or willingness to work towards.
• Relevant catering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service under supervision and guidance.
• Prepare salads, sandwiches and basic food items for patients, staff and visitors.
• Support patient meal services, loading bulk trolleys or ward level service.
• Undertake basic cooking under supervision and clean equipment daily.
• Adhere to Food Hygiene Standards and HACCP documentation for audit purposes.
• Assist with deliveries, stock control and cleanliness of stock areas.
