Job summary

Oceanarium in Bournemouth is seeking a confident Catering Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the on-site catering outlets. You will manage staff, menus, stock and supplier relations, while ensuring high standards of service, hygiene and profitability. The role requires weekend and evening duties as part of the duty management team.

You will lead a team, develop menus, and work with marketing on events and hospitality functions to drive revenue and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience managing high-volume catering operations.
• Ability to lead and develop a catering team.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee smooth, profitable operation of all catering outlets at Oceanarium, Bournemouth.
• Develop menu and product range to suit time of year and customer base.
• Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, COSHH and Health & Safety regulations.
• Lead, train and appraise catering staff; assist with recruitment and meetings.
• Manage stock, procurement, pricing and supplier relations; monitor wastage.
