Job summary

The Academy of Central Bedfordshire is seeking a Catering / Kitchen Assistant for Kingsland Campus in Houghton Regis. This 20-hour-a-week role runs during term time (4 hours daily, 10:30 am - 2:30 pm). Training will be provided and support from the Catering and Hospitality Instructor and Supervisor will be available.

Experience in school catering is preferred, especially with students who have additional needs. The school values well-being of all staff and pupils as fundamental to its success.

Qualifications

• Preferably, you will have some experience of working in a school catering environment, ideally with students who have additional needs.
• Experience working with young people with additional needs is valued.
• All relevant skills and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support the Catering and Hospitality Instructor and the Catering Supervisor, who will provide any training necessary.
• Assist with daily catering duties and classroom-related tasks.
• Be on hand to guide you through your working day and help ensure smooth operation.

We are seeking a Catering /Kitchen Assistant to work at our Kingsland Campus in Houghton Regis, 20 hours per week (4 hours a day, 10.30 am - 2.30 pm), Term Time only.

Preferably, you will have some experience of working in a school catering environment, ideally with students who have additional needs. However, your role will be to support the Catering and Hospitality Instructor and the Catering Supervisor, who will provide any training necessary and be on hand to guide you through your working day.
